The graphs show the way in which water levels
have changed over the last few years within
our main underground water sources (aquifers
which make up 90% of our water supply) and
Bewl Water.
The green line shows the minimum level at
which we have previously pumped water, the
redline shows a historical trend for the
water level.
The blue line then shows actual water levels,
sometimes showing the exceptional weather
we have had over the last few years (see
the high levels following the floods in 2001,
the lowering associated with the hot summer
of 2003) .
More
recently of course we see the impact of the
recent lack of rainfall.
