Mid Kent Water working with Hillreed Homes

Mid Kent Water is working with Hillreed Homes, KCC and the Environment Agency in developing water efficient homes on the new to highland Park estate in Ashford. Along with various water efficient facilities built into the homes, Mid Kent Water is testing a new seasonal tariff that rewards customers for saving water in the summer months.

See our website www.savingsontap.co.uk

Mid Kent Water install waterless urinals

After a period of trials on a couple of the urinals used by Mid Kent Water staff in Snodland, it was decided to convert all the urinals to waterless use.

This will save a significant proportion of the water that has previously been used at our offices in Snodland and will benefit the pipework by limiting the amount of scale that builds up due to the reaction between the urine and the hard water causing calcium carbonate to drop out of solution and bind to the walls of the drains.
